Bed bugs have become an increasing issue in Greater Cleveland, Ohio. Cuyahoga County organizations have created a Bed Bug Task Force to help educate members of the community on preventative measures against the pests. Study Looks at Health Effects Bed Bugs Can Have on Humans

A recent study released in the Journal of Medical Entomology from the University of Florida suggests that uncontrolled populations of bed bugs can become harmful to humans in three to eight months. The study demonstrated the harmful effects bed bug feedings can have on a one-year-old child in as little as 11 weeks. Jordan Little, a senior psychology major at University at Buffalo, has been homeless since late August 2012, due to bed bug infestation.
