Maryland Woman Awarded Money in Jury Decision

Recently, A Baltimore Sun article reported that Adarien Jackson of Maryland was awarded $225,000 in a jury trial on Thursday, March 8, 2012. Jackson purchased a pair of wooden-frame beds and mattresses from Calidad Furniture & Linen Inc. Soon after the beds were delivered, family members showed signs of bed bug bites. Cities Ranked by Number of Bed Bug Treatments

The Rollins Corporation, parent company of Orkin, released its ranking of “worst U.S. cities for bed bugs” in 2011. It reports about a 34 percent increase in bed bug business compared to 2010. Even Celebrities Deal with Bed Bugs

Aubrey Plaza of “Parks and Recreation” dealt with bed bugs while filming a new comedy “Safety Not Guaranteed.” The star shared details about getting bitten during the filming of the movie in Seattle. “It was a nightmare,” Plaza told Marc Malkin of E!News. “But, you know, it happens in hotels.” Plaza’s costars joked with her regarding the bites, claiming she was giving herself hives from nerves.
